1 Response to Decision Management: What It Is and Why You Need It

  1. I enjoyed this webinar. A few take-aways:
    – absolutely consider decision management for complex decisions
    – some technology choices are not choices you need to make, aka some technologies are meant to coexist, like rules and analytics
    – enable your systems to digest transaction results to improve your decision logic

I am personally a little bit more nuanced on the recommendation to always start with a decision model. We have customers that use our Pencil DMN Modeler, and some that don’t. For a green field project, this is a great way to capture source rules. When the source rules are documented, this is a step back.
