DecisionCAMP Session on May 5, 2021

Date: Wed, May 5, 2021 at 12:00 PM EST (New York Time) Title: “Compression of Redundant Rules and Other Logical Optimizations” Presenter: Seth Meldon, Progress Corticon. Abstract: When migrating to an enterprise BRMS from an existing tool for maintaining business logic, implementers will often be given a specification of business rules to work from that replicate the design patterns used in the legacy tool. This can result in replicating logical problems and inefficiencies in the BRMS. This talk, inspired by the demonstration of one of these capabilities (compressing over 16,000 rules into just over 1000) in the February decision modeling challenge, discusses the ways that Progress Corticon BRMS helps rule modelers to catch these logical inefficiencies in the design phase.
